Sonos 27: Control Speakers with ChatGPT & AI Assistants

Sonos speakers can now be controlled with ChatGPT. This comes with the introduction of Sonos 27, the newest version of the company's audio operating system. Here's the thing: Sonos 27mcp lets you connect any outside AI assistant, including ChatGPT, to your system. An OpenAI product lead says this means you can ask ChatGPT to play music anywhere in your home from a phone or computer, without interrupting your current conversation. Sonos also unveiled "Fabric," a set of features allowing speakers to sense each other and change roles. For example, portable surrounds let a Move 2 or Sonos Play become a rear surround speaker just by placing it in position. Headphone linking connects the Sonos Ace Ultra directly to your system. Sonos 27 rolls out as a software update to all Sonos S2 products. The new app navigation and Sonos 27mcp in Early Access start September 8th. This update offers new ways to interact with your home audio system.
