Spotify AI Chat: Conversational Music Search for Premium

Spotify is rolling out a new conversational AI feature for Premium subscribers. This beta tool lets users talk to the app to select music and get information. Eligible Premium users, aged 18 and over, in the United States, Ireland, and Sweden can now use this feature. They can type or speak to the app on iOS and Android devices. Users can ask for music, refine selections, save songs, and follow artists. They can also ask questions about tracks, albums, artists, and podcasts. For example, a user could ask for artists they haven't heard before, or about the inspiration behind an album. Spotify says this is part of making the platform more personal, using both its own AI and external models. This follows other AI initiatives like the AI DJ and Prompted Playlist. Spotify notes that as a beta product, responses might not always be accurate, and user feedback will help development. This new feature could change how you interact with your music and audio content.
