TCS Launches Agentic AI Platform for Drug Development

Tata Consultancy Services, or TCS, has launched a new agentic AI platform called TCS ADD AgentHub. This platform is designed to help pharmaceutical companies use AI in drug development while meeting strict regulatory requirements. Here's the thing: The system aims to integrate AI agents into processes like clinical trials and drug safety monitoring. What's interesting is it operates on a "Human + AI" model. AI handles data tasks, and humans keep control over decisions and governance. The platform addresses the challenge of scaling AI in R&D due to regulations, growing data, and fragmented systems. TCS says the ADD AgentHub gives each AI agent a defined role and builds in governance structures. This could lead to measurable efficiency gains. TCS reports up to 40 percent efficiency in clinical data management and up to 30 percent cost savings in safety case processing. AI-powered safety agents could also reduce quality control effort by up to 50 percent. The platform supports various AI agents for tasks like safety report intake, data entry, study design, and literature analysis. This matters because it could lead to more efficient and audit-ready operations in drug development.
