Trimble is introducing a new AI tool called Arc Agent, designed to automate repetitive tasks in fleet back offices. This AI agent works across Trimble's transportation management systems and common business applications like Gmail and Outlook. Here's the thing: Arc Agent can extract and validate information from emails, PDFs, and spreadsheets, then put it directly into the correct system. This means it can handle freight orders, maintenance notifications, and invoice scanning automatically. For example, it can take freight order details from a PDF and enter them into TMW.Suite. What's interesting is that the technology can also help with maintenance, fuel strategy, and even suggest wash facilities for tanker fleets.
