UAE AI Project: 50% Government Ops to Agentic AI

The UAE is beginning a national project to shift 50 percent of federal government operations to agentic AI models within two years. This initiative aims to integrate AI into federal operations for policy development, future planning, and decision-making. More than 100 federal officials attended a workshop to kickstart this strategic government work. The project covers seven key areas, including strategy, foresight, and governance. Officials also reviewed implementation timelines and how federal entities will collaborate. Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, stated this workshop marks the operational start of deploying AI across government work. The guiding principle for this project is "human leads, AI enables." This move could significantly change how government services are delivered.
