UiPath: Agentic AI for On-Premise & Hybrid Deployments

UiPath has announced new agentic AI capabilities for its Automation Suite, allowing customers to deploy this AI within their own infrastructure. This means organizations can control how and where their data is processed. Raghu Malpani, chief product and technology officer at UiPath, noted that this helps regulated industries adopt agentic AI while meeting compliance requirements. The Automation Suite offers two deployment options. Customers can use cloud-hosted large language models with self-hosted orchestration, or they can self-host and manage their own open-source models within their data centers. The cloud models option supports existing subscriptions with providers like OpenAI and Google Gemini. It offers features such as DeepRAG and Autopilot. The self-hosted models option provides core agentic AI capabilities, including UiPath Maestro. The cloud models mode also allows hybrid deployments, routing large language model inference to a chosen cloud provider while operating on the customer's infrastructure. This setup is beneficial for data residency compliance. Most agentic automation features are available now, with Conversational Agent and IXP capabilities coming in October 2026. This matters because businesses can now innovate with AI while maintaining strict control over their data.
