UK & Australia Partner on AI Security: Tackling Rapid Risks

The UK and Australia are deepening their ties to tackle fast-moving AI security risks. A new partnership has been formed between the UK AI Security Institute and the Australian AI Safety Institute. These institutes will share information on advanced AI capabilities and collaborate on best practices for AI evaluation. They will also share research findings. This agreement comes as new research indicates AI cybersecurity capabilities are advancing rapidly. The partnership will track developments in frontier AI, including how these systems could be used in cyber-attacks and how they can strengthen defenses. The two countries will also research emerging risks and work together to develop international best practice for testing and evaluating AI systems.
