Ukraine's ChatGPT Rival: Lapathoniia Chat Launched

Ukraine has introduced a new AI service called Lapathoniia Chat. This service operates using large-scale Ukrainian language models and its infrastructure is located entirely within the country. The platform launched in a closed beta testing format. Developers are calling it Ukraine's first AI chat assistant based on Ukrainian large-scale language models. What's interesting is that the entire platform infrastructure uses the cloud capabilities of Ukrainian provider De Novo, keeping user data within Ukrainian data centers. The service aims to show the potential of Ukrainian large-scale language models through real interaction. Lapathoniia Chat offers a dialog mode, web search, conversation history, context memory, file work, and deep research functions. It also provides access to Ukrainian language models via API for integration into other products and services. Currently, the MamayLM and Lapa LLM models are available on the platform. The team plans to add more Ukrainian language models in the future. This project is implemented with academic support from Lviv Polytechnic. The bottom line is this initiative helps develop Ukraine's own technological ecosystem and create solutions focused on local needs.
