Upstage, Puriosa AI Powering Korea's Sovereign AI

Three companies are collaborating to expand Sovereign AI using domestic technology. Upstage, Puriosa AI, and AXZ have joined forces. Here's the thing: Upstage's AI model and Puriosa AI's semiconductors are now part of the new AI search summary service called 'AI Overview'. Puriosa AI provides the mass-produced AI semiconductor 'Renegade'. Upstage's AI model 'Solar' runs on this chip. AXZ then links this to the search result summary service of 'Next'. Daum started operating a service that automatically summarizes search results earlier this month. Puriosa AI's CEO states that 'Renegade' accelerates the 'Solar' model. About 24 chips process around 500 million tokens daily. The CEO claims it offers better cost-effectiveness than Nvidia's H200 GPU, with equal performance. Upstage's CEO highlights 'Solar's' global-level performance and strong Korean language capabilities. This collaboration shows the potential for driving all aspects of AI, from hardware to services, with domestic technology. This could also help diversify the supply chain, reducing reliance on foreign GPUs.
