US AI Rivals Launch New Models After Kimi K3

U.S. artificial intelligence firms are launching new models and upgrades following the introduction of China's Kimi K3 model. He announced that Meta plans to open the weights for its AI model, Muse Spark 1.2. The company also released Muse Glimmer, an open agentic model optimized for local workflows. Muse Glimmer is a 30-billion-parameter model, significantly smaller than Moonshot's Kimi K3, which has 2.8 trillion parameters. Google also experienced changes, including a senior executive departure and a new AI model launch. Jeff Dean, Google's chief scientist, left to co-found an AI startup. Demis Hassabis stepped down as CEO of Google DeepMind to become its chairman and Alphabet's chief scientist. Google launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, describing it as its most intelligent workhorse model for coding and agents. These developments show the ongoing competition and rapid advancements in the global AI landscape.
