Veeam's AI Trust Model: Benchmarking AI Readiness

Veeam has launched a new Data and AI Trust Maturity Model to help organizations assess their AI readiness. This framework aims to strengthen how companies govern and use AI. Veeam research indicates that while 80% of leaders believe they can scale AI safely, only one in three can actually provide evidence to prove it. This highlights a gap between confidence in AI readiness and the ability to effectively operationalize and govern it. The model evaluates AI maturity across 12 dimensions and five stages. It helps identify where controls exist and where they might fail. Anand Eswaran, CEO at Veeam, notes that many organizations struggle to demonstrate AI readiness to boards, auditors, or regulators. This model provides an objective way to understand their true standing and prioritize capabilities for operationalizing AI trust. This is crucial as AI agents begin making autonomous decisions.
