Vertu AlphaFold: AI-Powered Folding Phone Returns

Vertu has announced its first-ever book-like folding phone, the AlphaFold, which includes an AI agent. This new smartphone targets business executives. It features the Hermes Agent, designed to manage schedules and tasks and connect to enterprise systems. The AlphaFold runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset from 2025. It boasts a 6,500-mAh silicon-anode battery with 65-watt fast charging. The phone has a 120-Hz refresh rate for its 8.05-inch inner screen and a 6.53-inch outer screen. Its hinge and screen architecture are tested to withstand 650,000 folds. The camera system includes a 50-megapixel main, a 50-megapixel ultrawide, and a 5-megapixel telephoto lens. Vertu, known for luxury smartphones, offers options like titanium and carbon fiber in the hinge and exotic leathers for the backplate. This new device shows how AI agents are becoming a key feature in high-end smartphones.
