Vobis Ventures Acquires Optiv Consulting for AI Security Boost

Vobis Ventures has acquired Optiv's consulting business. This move aims to blend artificial intelligence implementation with strong cybersecurity architecture capabilities. What's interesting is that Optiv Consulting brings a 500-person team, which Vobis Ventures plans to use as the cornerstone for its security practice. The acquired business also offers access to about 800 enterprise clients, with roughly a quarter of those being Fortune 500 organizations. Vobis Ventures CEO Anup Kumar noted that Optiv Consulting already has emerging capabilities in areas like AI governance and vulnerability assessments for large language models. The goal is to help organizations implement AI securely from the very beginning. Kumar stated that enterprises often focus on AI for productivity but don't adequately address critical aspects like runtime governance and risk management. This acquisition could help close that gap.
