This model, named Hunter Alpha, surfaced on the OpenRouter platform on March 11 without developer attribution. It was later identified by Xiaomi's AI model team MiMo as an early internal test build of MiMo-V2-Pro. MiMo-V2-Pro is designed to be the "brain" of AI agents, which help users execute complex tasks with fewer prompts. The MiMo team is run by Luo Fuli, a former DeepSeek researcher. Hunter Alpha is a 1-trillion-parameter model with a context window of up to one million tokens. This combination of a large context window and reasoning capability, along with free access, stood out to experts. This news is significant because it shows a major player entering the advanced AI agent space, potentially changing how users interact with AI.
