ZeroNorth AI: Propel Automates Maritime Operations

ZeroNorth has launched a new agentic AI solution for maritime operations called Propel by ZeroNorth. This AI partner uses AI agents to automate repetitive manual tasks, allowing operators to focus on critical decisions. The shipping industry faces increasing complexity due to geopolitical changes, new regulations, and fluctuating fuel prices. Better coordination can lead to significant time and fuel savings for fleets. Propel is designed to understand intent, adapt to changing conditions, and carry out work across complex processes. Currently, Propel handles repetitive manual tasks in voyage optimization. It generates voyage plans, manages communication with the master, incorporates feedback, and updates plans, all while keeping the operator informed. This helps operators act faster on opportunities and saves many hours of manual coordination. ZeroNorth's Professional Services team has been using the voyage optimization agent for three months. Early access is now being given to key customers like Cargill, Ultrabulk, and CMB.TECH. New agents will be released continuously, with wider commercial availability planned for later in 2026. This innovation could significantly streamline maritime operations and improve efficiency.
