A new report reveals that 93% of organizations are heading in this direction. What's interesting is that 74% of organizations believe AI will lead to more attacks on identity infrastructure. Many organizations are giving AI access to sensitive systems without fully securing those identities. For instance, 92% report AI is installed on local machines, with access to SSH and encryption keys. However, only 32% are very confident they could regain control if AI exposed admin credentials. The bottom line: as AI adoption grows, security teams need to shift from focusing only on human identities to also securing non-human identities like AI agents. This is crucial because every AI agent introduces a new identity, access pathway, and compliance obligation.
