Ajman: UAE's 1st Gov to Use Agentic AI for Trade License Renewal

Ajman has become the first UAE government to renew a trade license using Agentic AI. This was done through a proactive, headless government service model. The Department of Digital Ajman developed this system. It identifies customer needs and prepares the service journey with minimal customer effort. The first phase focuses on trade license renewal. Customers are automatically notified before their license expires. They are then directed to an intelligent assistant in the AjmanOne government app to complete their renewal. What's interesting is this service also integrates with the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department. This happens when trade license renewal depends on a valid commercial lease. If a lease renewal is needed, customers are guided through that process before the trade license renewal continues automatically. The bottom line is this initiative supports the UAE's national direction to deploy Agentic AI. This aims to strengthen future readiness and economic growth, ultimately improving the business environment.
