Anthropic staff are in Washington to meet with White House officials next week. The goal is to resolve a dispute that has taken the company's most advanced AI models offline. Here's the thing: The Trump administration ordered Anthropic to block foreign nationals from using its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models. In response, Anthropic disabled access to these models globally. The company had previously warned about the hacking capabilities of its Mythos model. It had also held it back from wide release. Earlier this week, Anthropic rolled out a public version called Fable. This version included what the company described as cybersecurity safeguards.
