This model is specifically designed for office workflows and programming tasks. What's interesting is its relaxed safety restrictions. Testing showed Opus 5 has a lower capacity for exploiting cyber vulnerabilities compared to Anthropic's flagship Fable 5. This makes it an affordable option for businesses. The company's product leader noted this release demonstrates a rapid development pace, following the introduction of Opus 4.8 in May. Opus 5 is also less susceptible to manipulation than other models on the market. While Fable 5 is for highly autonomous, multi-day assignments, Opus 5 focuses on immediate economic value and routine office productivity.
