Anthropic Sued: Customer Alleges Misleading AI Usage Limits

An angry customer is suing AI company Anthropic. The lawsuit alleges the company misled users about usage limits on its priciest subscription tiers. Karl Kahn filed a federal lawsuit claiming Anthropic's "Max 5x" and "Max 20x" plans did not deliver the advertised usage. He says he hit weekly limits on the Max 20x plan, which costs $200 a month, within weeks of upgrading. Kahn reported hitting 15% of his weekly usage in just a five-hour session. He states subscribers are getting "far below the advertised amount" promised on Anthropic's website. This lawsuit raises questions about how AI companies communicate service capabilities to high-paying customers.
