ChatGPT Images 2.0: Faster, Smarter Image Generation

OpenAI has announced ChatGPT Images 2.0, a significant upgrade to ChatGPT's built-in image generator. This new version includes a pre-generation reasoning step, which MindStudio describes as "thinking-enabled." What's interesting is that it can produce multiple images from a single prompt and renders text more accurately, according to Wired. Bloomberg reports it's up to four times faster than the prior Images model. Wired also notes a more recent knowledge cutoff of December 2025.
