The system learns by processing vast amounts of video data, including a million hours of general video. This training helps it recognize settings and plan tasks, such as sorting packages. Perceptron recently raised $21 million in funding. The company aims to bring AI into the physical world and believes its software can improve efficiency and reduce costs in industries like manufacturing and logistics. Releasing the model as open-weight allows other companies to inspect its parameters, which could speed up innovation in industrial automation.
