KT Launches AI Email Security for Public Sector

KT is entering the AI-based email security market, focusing on public and educational institutions. They have launched a new "public AI mail security" service, which is the first in Korea to receive Cloud Service Security Certification, or CSAP, for an AI and intelligent persistent attack-based email security service. This cloud-based service uses AI technology to detect and block cyberattacks like ransomware and phishing emails. It filters malicious mail through a three-step system that includes spam blocking, AI analysis, and APT response, delivering only normal mail to users. The service boasts a malicious mail detection accuracy of over 97% and completes most analyses within one minute, minimizing delays. This matters because it aims to provide enhanced, certified security for critical public and educational institutions against sophisticated cyber threats.
