KT NPU LLM Station: Korean AI for Enterprise Security

KT has launched a new enterprise server that integrates a Korean-made AI processor, language model, and operating platform. This system, called the KT NPU LLM Station, allows companies to run generative AI entirely within their own networks. It features Rebellions’ ATOM-MAX neural processing unit and KT’s Mi:dm K 2.5 Pro large language model. What's interesting is the ATOM-MAX is an inference-focused Korean NPU, designed for high performance and power efficiency. The Mi:dm K 2.5 Pro is built for complex reasoning and agent-based applications. The system is installed directly in a customer's facilities, processing data and AI computations internally. This is a key feature for industries with strict security requirements. KT says this appliance can help public agencies, defense companies, and financial institutions adopt AI without relying on overseas services.
