Meta Muse Spark 1.1: Up to 83% Cheaper Than Claude

Meta Superintelligence Labs has released Muse Spark 1.1, a new multimodal reasoning model. What's interesting is its pricing. Muse Spark 1.1 is up to 83% cheaper per token than Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.8, and it costs about one-tenth the price of OpenAI's GPT-5.5. This model is designed for coding and agentic work. It's the first time Meta is selling model access through a metered, proprietary API. Previously, Meta offered its Llama models with open weights. Meta Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang calls Muse Spark 1.1 Meta's "strongest model for agentic and coding work yet." The Meta Model API prices Muse Spark 1.1 at $1.25 per million input tokens and $4.25 per million output tokens. Every new developer account gets $20 in free credits. The bottom line here is that Meta is entering the AI model market with highly competitive pricing.
