Meta has released Muse Spark 1.2, marking its third model launch in four months. This new model scored 54 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index. This score places Muse Spark 1.2 in a tie for third place among US labs, alongside SpaceXAI’s Grok 4.5. It's just behind models like Claude Opus 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol. This rapid progress follows a period where Meta's AI division underwent significant changes. The jump from a score of 43 in April to 54 in under four months represents a sharp improvement curve. What's interesting is that the 3-point gain over Muse Spark 1.1 is mainly in agentic capability, an area previously identified as a weakness. On the GDPval-AA v2 benchmark, which measures real-world knowledge work, Muse Spark 1.2's Elo rating increased by 260 points.
