Meta Unleashes Muse Spark 1.2 & Glimmer Open-Weight AI

Meta is returning to an open-weight AI model strategy, making its top AI model, Muse Spark 1.2, publicly available. What's interesting is Meta will also roll out a new open-source model called Muse Glimmer for consumer devices. This model has 30 billion parameters and can run on laptops. It supports text and images and was trained in over 100 languages. Muse Glimmer is designed for AI agents that perform multi-step tasks, like scheduling or drafting messages. It can handle these tasks using only a single consumer GPU on a Mac or PC. The company aims to process data on users' devices for privacy, rather than sending information to the cloud.
