Notion Integrates Claude Code, Cursor & Codex AI Agents

Notion has opened its workspace to several AI agents, including Claude Code, Cursor, and OpenAI's Codex. This change allows human teams and AI agents to work together from a single interface. The company announced a new Developer Platform with three components: Workers, a database sync layer, and an External Agents API. This API lets outside agents operate as visible participants in the workspace. Co-founder and CEO Ivan Zhao explained the goal is "any data, any tool, any agent." Teams can now assign tasks to AI coding agents like Claude Code or Codex directly within Notion. They can track progress and connect results to project databases. For example, a support ticket handled by Decagon could trigger a Claude Code task, with a proposed fix then presented to a human for approval, all within Notion. The External Agents API is currently in private beta, and Notion plans to expand its partner list. This development means teams can streamline their workflows by integrating AI tools directly into their productivity platform.
