SpaceXAI Acquires Cursor: Grok Bot & 4.6 Boost

SpaceXAI has completed its acquisition of Cursor. This follows earlier news in February that the firm behind Starlink absorbed xAI. SpaceXAI recently released the Grok Bot and Grok 4.6 models, with Cursor's help. Cursor was known for connecting large language model AI to app building. It was also popular with software engineers who code with AI on the Mac. The original collaboration between SpaceX and Cursor aimed to create the world's best coding and knowledge work AI. Cursor stated this partnership allows them to use xAI's Colossus infrastructure to scale up their models' intelligence. This move strengthens a competitor to existing AI coding software.
