Tencent's Hy3 AI Goes Global: Free Access & Massive Growth

Tencent is significantly expanding its artificial intelligence efforts internationally with a wider rollout of its flagship Hy3 model. This marks the first major update to Tencent's AI strategy since a former OpenAI researcher joined the company. The Hy3 model is now available to global developers, businesses, and users through platforms like WorkBuddy, Tencent Design Miora, and TokenHub. Users worldwide can access Hy3 on WorkBuddy for free until August 31st. Tencent states that the API call volume for Hy3 has increased over 68-fold compared to its predecessor. The company also reports that Hy3 topped the global large language model usage leaderboard on OpenRouter during its first week. This expansion aims to help organizations apply AI in practical and scalable ways.
