WhatsApp AI: Share Docs for Analysis & Summaries

WhatsApp now lets users share documents directly with Meta AI for analysis and summarization. This new feature transforms Meta AI from a basic chatbot into a productivity assistant. Previously, users could only share text, voice notes, and images with Meta AI. Now, you can upload complex files like legal contracts or spreadsheets without using workarounds. This update allows native handling of high-context documents within your message stream. You can use the in-app attachment sheet or system-wide share sheets to send files. Supported formats include PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and CSV. You can attach up to nine documents at once, with each file limited to 40 MB. This lets Meta AI cross-reference data or summarize multi-part reports. WhatsApp confirms that end-to-end encryption is maintained for personal conversations. Meta AI will only process documents you explicitly share with it. This move challenges other productivity tools by offering advanced document interaction within WhatsApp.
