Zhipu AI's GLM-5.3: Strongest Open-Weights Coding Model

Zhipu AI has released GLM-5.3, which the company calls its strongest open-weights coding model. This new model reportedly shows a 50 percent jump in coding capability over its predecessor, GLM-5.2. What's interesting is that GLM-5.3 carries 743 billion parameters. Zhipu AI says it uncovered 2,436 software vulnerabilities across 269 projects during testing. Some of these flaws were up to 40 years old. The model is available now through the GLM Coding Plan and works with various coding agents. The model weights will be downloadable in about two weeks, after security reviews. This release comes during a busy week for AI model launches.
