Anthropic: Most Valuable AI Firm After $65B Funding

US tech company Anthropic is now the most valuable AI firm in Silicon Valley. It has raised an additional $65 billion in funding. This pushes the company's valuation to $965 billion. This places Anthropic above competitors like OpenAI, which was recently valued at $730 billion. Anthropic's value has nearly tripled since February. This growth is partly due to high demand for its Claude AI products, especially Claude Code. The company is now making $47 billion in annualized revenue, up from $30 billion earlier this year. Anthropic also introduced its new AI model, Claude Opus 4.8. It also launched Claude Mythos Preview, a cybersecurity tool for select enterprise clients.
