Insilico's DDD BaaS: AI Drug Discovery Benchmarks

Insilico Medicine has launched a new standardized evaluation framework called Drug Discovery and Development Benchmarks as a Service, or DDD BaaS. This framework aims to accurately measure how AI models perform in drug discovery. The company states that many existing AI benchmarks suffer from data contamination, leading to inflated scores. What's interesting is that DDD BaaS uses decontaminated real-world data and validated programs to assess AI models across various stages of drug discovery. It includes two evaluation suites: Drug Discovery Foundations, which has over 300 evaluations, and Drug Candidate Essentials, which tests a model's ability to navigate an end-to-end drug discovery program. Any organization can have their AI model evaluated by Insilico Medicine to receive a verified score report. This matters because it provides a transparent way to assess AI capabilities in the critical field of drug discovery.
